The Schleiermacher-Gesellschaft promotes international work on Schleiermacher by offering a limited number of travel stipends to non-German doctoral students and scholars in the early stages of their academic careers (e.g. post-doctoral fellows, lecturers, assistant professors, etc.) residing outside of Germany. International respondents to the Call for Papers falling in these or equivalent categories are encouraged to apply for a competitive travel subsidy of 400 Euro (European applicants) or 700 Euro (non-European applicants) by sending a brief letter describing their work on Schleiermacher to date, together with a full curriculum vitae to Jörg Dierken (joerg.dierken@theologie.uni-halle.de) and Brent Sockness (sockness@stanford.edu).
