Preservation of Schleiermacher's grave: Please donate
Friedrich Schleiermacher is buried together with his wife Henriette and his son Nathanael in the cemetery of the Trinity Community in Berlin Kreuzberg. There is an imposing burial place designed by Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse. In its central tondo is a characteristic marble bust of Friedrich Schleiermacher, which was designed by the sculptor Christian Daniel Rauch and executed by Fritz Schaper. The ensemble of the burial site with the bust is impressive, as evidenced by many illustrations in relevant publications. A picture and information about the grave can be found here.
